Dental Plans Exempt from Out-of-Network Statute
June 11, 2018
NJDA and NJDPAC succeeded in having dental plans deleted from the Out-of-Network Consumer Protection, Transparency, Cost Containment and Accountability Act prior to its adoption. The statute does not apply to "a benefits plan which pays or provides dental expense benefits for covered services and is delivered or issued for delivery in this state by or through a carrier either on a stand-alone basis or as part of other coverage including, but not limited to, health benefits coverage."
