Healthy Smiles to Last a Lifetime!
Children with dental pain are three times more likely to miss a school day than their peers with good oral health. Help your students and children enjoy the benefits of a healthy smile by reinforcing the importance of brushing, flossing and visiting a dentist.
Use free worksheets and coloring pages from our affiliated website, mouthhealthy.org to teach healthy eating and hygiene tips and the all-important 2min2x! If you need to find a dentist in your area, click here.
The state of NJ also offers this Dental Directory of programs and locations that accept NJ Family Care, sliding scale payment and other payment options.
Back to School Season also means Sports Season!
Mouthguards are an important part of your child's athletic gear. Mouthguards do more than protect your child’s teeth. They also lessen the possibility of injury to the tongue, jaw, lips and face. And, if your child wears braces, a mouthguard protects against damage to them, too. Children participating in field sports need mouthguards, but don't forget that gymnasts and cheerleaders also take falls and will benefit from a mouthguard. Your dentist can custom fit a guard or you can by an over-the-counter which may not fit as well.
Give Kids a Smile
Give Kids A Smile Day is celebrated each year on the first Friday in February! Locations across the state participate in a day of free treatment and education. A list of participating locations will be posted here in December. You may call the location of your choice to make an appointment.
