Do you have patients in your practice that may be at risk for Diabetes?

With a simple chair-side screening  (finger-stick) for dysglycemia you can rapidly identify high-risk patients. To assist you in documenting and reporting  this service, the ADA recently  adopted a new code D0411 HbA1c in-office point of service testing. (You may want to verify coverage as there may be an out of pocket expense)

For more information on the HbA1c pilot screening program sponsored by Delta Dental of NJ,  check out Delta Dental’s booth at the Garden State Dental Conference & Expo on May 17-19, 2018.

A resource to assist in identifying candidates for the D0411 procedure is the Point-of -Care Prediabetes Identification Guide (prepared jointly by the American Diabetes Association, the American Medical Association and the Centers for Disease Control).
