Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) provides free dental treatment and vision screenings to athletes. SONJ is currently seeking volunteer Dentists, Dental Assistants, and Dental Hygienists for its annual screening event.

The Donated Orthodontic Services (DOS) program has provided orthodontic treatment for over 1,000 children from families with a financial need. DOS is a program of the American Association of Orthodontics Foundation (AAOF).

Give Back A Smile offers New Jersey licensed dentists and dental hygienists a year-round opportunity to donate their professional talents to uninsured children. Professional volunteers earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) while providing crucial care to pediatric and perinatal patients in schools, community centers, and KinderSmile Community Oral Health Centers of Bloomfield, Newark, and Trenton, NJ.
The "Veterans Smile Day" mission is to provide free dental care and support to our military veterans as our small way of thanking them for their service. Our hope is that in the process, veteran’s will find a permanent dental home for themselves and their families.
Smiles For Our Heroes will return to Zufall Health on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 9:00-6:00pm. Sponsored by Delta Dental NJ, NJDA, ADHA, and NJDAA. Services will be available at Zufall Dover (18 West Blackwell Street). Eligible veterans will be provided free dental services including exams and cleanings, oral cancer assessments, x-rays, fillings, and dentures.
The NJDA and the ADA are proud to support this program spearheaded by our strategic partner Dental Lifeline Network (DLN). As a member of our community, please consider volunteering and donate comprehensive treatment to at least one patient with special needs each year. Volunteering is easy and the patients come to your office.
NJDA SENIOR-DENT PROGRAM
HOMEBOUND DENTAL TREATMENT
The NJDA Senior-Dent Program operates to increase the access of Senior Citizens to dental care in NJ and has been a well-utilized and successful program since its inception. A participating dentist must offer an eligible patient a minimum courtesy reduction of 15% from the standard fee charged on all dental services.
Many conditions, ailments and diseases leave patients unable to leave their homes to be driven to a dental office, but still need dental care. If you are able to provide in home dental care please submit your information through our registration form and you will be added to our Homebound Visiting Dentist List.
